Biometric Fingerprint Wall Safe

Fingerprint wall safes are good because they are a wall safe. You built the safe into the wall, and you can cover it up. This will allow you to hide the safe in a secret place, keeping it more secure than a safe that is not hidden. Put a poster or shelf in front of the wall and the safe is gone.
Safes that have combinations or keys have downsides. For instance, if you forget the combination or lose the key, you have cannot access the safe. However, with a biometric wall safe, your finger is the key. You simply place your finger on the biometric reader and you gain access to the safe. The safe also has a combination in case the biometric reader stops working, and most also come with a key, as safeguards.
The economy continues to fall, and banks continue to fail. People everywhere are considering pulling all of their money out of the bank. If you are going to do this, you need to make sure you have a safe place to store the money. The best thing to do is get a biometric fingerprint wall safe.
Advantages of Fingerprint Door Locks

Biometric door locks, locks that use your fingerprint to unlock the door, have many advantages. The first is you do not have to fumble through your bag to find your keys. Instead, simply put your finger on the biometric reader and the door will unlock. This will save you the hassle of finding your keys when your hands are full.
If you are going away on a trip, and want to have someone keep an eye on your house, you can add their fingerprint to the lock and they can gain access to your house. If you do not want them to continue to have access to your house when you get back from your trip, you can remove their fingerprint from the lock. This will save you the hassle of trying to get your key back.
Newer biometric readers are more advanced, making them safer. With older readers, there were ways to copy your fingerprint and gain access to your house. However, newer biometric readers do not only read your fingerprint, but check deeper into the finger itself. Also, the finger must be attached to you, so no one can cut off your finger and still gain access.
The advantages of fingerprint door locks make it worth it to you to install one today.
Home Security Surveillance System Installation

Step 1- To begin, you need to decide where you want to place the surveillance equipment. A good place to install surveillance cameras are near doors and window. Depending on the camera, you may have a smoke detector camera or a small enough camera that can be placed in a book shelf.
Step 2- Once you have the place you are going to install the camera, you need to get all of the wiring placed. The surveillance system will need to be attached to a computer or TV in order to record footage. You will need to cut holes in your walls in order to hide them. With a wireless system, all of this can be avoided.
Step 3- You have now found a place to install the system, and have the wiring in place. Now, connect the wires to the camera and place the camera in the spot you want it to be at. Once you have done this, you just need to turn it on and begin having a running security surveillance system.
Follow these three simple steps and you will be able to install a surveillance camera system in your home in no time. Home security surveillance system installation is easy, but can make the difference between a safe home and an unsafe home.
Hidden Surveillance Cameras

Let's talk about a few pros and cons of having a hidden surveillance camera. You might be surprised to know that there are more of these in the homes then you are aware of.
They are also common in businesses such as convenience stores, retail outlets, restaurants, ATM machines, and so on. Often times you're not even aware you are being watched.
Hidden surveillance cameras take video of what is going on in front of them around the clock. One benefit is they are not real large, so they do not take up a lot of space when they are installed. This makes them fairly inexpensive to install as well.
One downside to these types of cameras is they must be monitored 24 hours a day which can be costly. You have to determine if your business can absorb this type of cost as opposed to the risk of not having it installed.
Another problem they can offer is they give a narrow view and are generally only taking pictures of what is directly in front of them. The good thing is they are extremely accurate and can be used to provide the identity of any perpetrator in a court of law.
Homeowners today rely on hidden surveillance cameras to keep them informed on what's going on in their home. This could be useful if you have a nanny watching a young child, or teenagers who are in the house while you are at work.
You will have to weigh the pros and cons of your own situation to determine whether these would be beneficial to you.
How Are Silent Alarms Monitored
- By Ralph Winn
- Published 01/30/2009
Would a silent alarm provide adequate security for your home or business?
By itself silent alarms may not be effective, but when combined with a monitoring service the company will know immediately if something is wrong. The problem with this though is it takes a security company time to react.
Most business owners and homeowners are given the option of how they want the company to respond on the security system they have. This includes an immediate response by police.
Usually an alarm company representative will be able to respond quicker than the police depending on where your business or home is located. However the downside to an alarm company representative is they will send a security guard who is not going to be as skilled as a police officer will be.
Private security firms offer employees low wages and many times these people are not going to be the top of the line. However that is what you can expect when using a silent alarm that notifies a monitoring company.
In some areas businesses might even be charged with police if they respond to false alarms. Therefore any time you are activating your silent alarm it's important that if the police are involved that it be a real risk.
This is something worth checking out both with the local police as well as with the security company you are working with.
Silent alarms do provide protection without alarming any customers that might be in your business, but be sure and understand how you are alarm will be responded to, and whether it includes police or just security employees.
Should You Secure Your Business or Employees First

Here is an interesting question! Should you protect your business or the lives of your employees first?
As a business owner I am sure you would value the life of your employee over any property, but are you doing everything you can to protect both!
You are an expert in the field that your business is in not a security expert. Therefore it makes sense to invite a security expert out to look over your business and make recommendations to it.
No two businesses are exactly alike and security experts are trained to spot potential problems in the security currently you have. Because you have individual needs for your business they can then make recommendations to adequately secure it and to protect the employees that work for you.
Setting up a meeting with the security professional is very easy to do and you will find them more than eager to accommodate you and your busy schedule.
The meeting will center on drawing up a plan that can be implemented to secure your business and protect your employees. You will be surprised at the number of flaws they can point out in the current security that you have.
They will also be able to offer suggestions on where to point security cameras if you currently have them installed and not working properly. If you don't have any type of monitor surveillance they can also make suggestions on that.
Many businesses rely strictly on a door lock to keep a potential thief out of it, when in reality they should have sensors that set off an alarm on every window and door in the business. Also your key employee should have panic buttons available to them if for any reason they need to activate them to notify your monitoring company of a threat they are feeling.
Is Your Business Inviting Intruders In
- By Ralph Winn
- Published 01/30/2009
If you own a business you must ask yourself whether it, and your employees are properly protected. You might even go so far as to consider whether you are inviting unwanted intruders into your place of business.
It is important that you eliminate security risks so that you can protect your valuable assets as well as the people who work for you.
A simple thing you can do is install a security system and make it known that you have one. You should also install alarms and arm your key employees with their own code so that they can enter the business when they need to, but so the people you do not want in cannot.
You can set up key card so that individual employees each have their own unique code. If you fire an employee you do not have to remember to remove their code so they can get back in your business.
Another thing you can do is make sure you have proper lighting on the outside of your building. The darker it is the more inviting it is to someone who wants to break in. You should also leave lights on in the interior in strategic places so that it will discourage someone from breaking in.
If your building has shrubbery on the outside you should keep it trimmed down so that it doesn't block the view of any Windows from the road as people drive by. Also if you have the tools or equipment lying around that should be picked up and put away as that is an easy thing for an intruder to use to break into your building.
Cyber Cops vs Cyber Crooks
- By Annie Blanco
- Published 01/18/2009
The FBI reports that cyber crooks have become so organized and business like that they use online forums to advertise illegal wares, buy and sell computer viruses, and traffic stolen identities. What could be even worse - the Internet is being used by terrorists and spies - that’s what FBI top cyber experts had to say at the first International Conference on Cyber Security, in which 400 people participated from 37 different countries.
“The bad guys need to know there is no free ride” says Christopher Painter, FBI Cyber Vision Deputy Assistant Director. As it stands right now, for about $30 a cyber crook anywhere in the world can buy a blank credit card, complete with the holographic security markings used by legitimate credit card companies. They can then buy equipment to encode someone’s stolen identity information onto the card. In addition, they can buy software to verify that the unsuspecting victim’s credit is good, so that anyone using the phony card will not raise suspicions at the checkout counter.
The three-day conference held in New York was organized to find global solutions to emerging cyber threats. “The FBI’s goal of sponsoring this conference is to build and forge long-lasting relationships to combat terrorist and criminal use of the Internet,” said FBI New York Office Head Joseph Demarest. “The conference is the beginning of greater cooperation on all cyber matters.”
